Village Income Tax Administration Transition to RITA
Effective July 1, the Village will transfer administration of its income tax program to RITA (Regional Income Tax Agency). Tax returns and payments for the current tax year and the previous three tax years will be migrated to RITA for processing. Employers have been notified of the transition to help ensure withholdings are properly credited.
July Processing and Blackout Period
Payments received by the Village during July will be forwarded to RITA for processing. Residents may begin using RITA’s MyAccount application on August 1. During July, a blackout period will be in effect, and RITA will not have access to payment records or tax history until August 1.
Submitting Payments and Returns
During July, tax payments may be submitted to RITA through Fast Pay at https://www.ritaohio.com/Individuals/Home/Payment.
Income tax returns may be submitted through Fast File at https://eservices.ritaohio.com/webtax/fastfiling/home.
RITA customer service agents will be available to assist taxpayers; however, they will not be able to view account transactions or historical records until August 1.
